PM condemn vile social media campaign to assassinate COAS

• Says similar considerations were made for Black Day on May.
• Says conspiratorial minds and elements are again active against political and economic stability.
• Says the nation stands by its army and its army chief.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday strongly condemned the vile social media campaign to assassinate Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir.

PM said that every conspiracy against Pakistan and its institutions will be crushed while he warned the planners, facilitators and handlers of May 9 incidents.

Stated that the vile media campaign against the army chief and the army is backed by an evil mind.

Added that conspiratorial minds and elements are again active against political and economic stability of Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz instructed relevant agencies to take legal action against media campaigners stating the the act does not fall under the category of freedom of expression, but a conspiracy; that has to be prevented with all the force.

Added that the nation will thwart this heinous conspiracy in the same way as it foiled the conspiracy of civil war in the country on May 9.

“The nation stands by its army and its army chief,” the premier said.
