
Khawaja Asif assures Nawaz Sharif to contest upcoming elections
Khawaja Asif responded to questions by confirming that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif will indeed participate in the upcoming election.
Asif, in a discussion with journalists, emphasized that all political parties have been granted an equal opportunity in the electoral field, actually known as the level playing field.
Khawaja intended to address concerns raised by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), a former PML-N ally, regarding the fairness of the electoral environment.
Nawaz Sharif, the supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former Prime Minister, has expressed his gratitude to the people and party supporters.
He mentioned his return to Pakistan after a period of exile, thanking those who prayed for and stood by him during that time.
Sharif emphasized his commitment to bolstering Pakistan’s economic strength and called for collective efforts to enhance the country.
He stressed that the upcoming election will be pivotal in shaping Pakistan’s future. Furthermore, he reiterated that the PML-N is a party with a nationwide presence, representing the entire country and aiming for success across the nation.
Nawaz Sharif on Monday directed the party leaders to begin their preparations for the elections that are scheduled to take place on February 8, 2024.
A meeting was conducted at the PML-N’s central secretariat in Lahore to convey the message regarding election preparation to the party leaders.
The meeting was attended by Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, PML-N Election Cell Chairman Senator Ishaq Dar and Central Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb.
