KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Sirajul Haq said that unfortunately the leaders of the Muslim World kept mum and remain static over Palestine issue.

He said that the Muslim World should have offered all available resources and military might to Hamas against Israel like the United States did for Israel and Palestinians.

He expressed these views while addressing the participants of the Million March held in Karachi through an audio link.

He said that the Muslim World keeps over 7.5 million strong army, all types of tanks, warships, missiles and other weapons, including nukes but they did nothing for Palestine.

The JI chief commended South Africa for advocating for the rights of the oppressed Palestinians.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi also spoke on the occasion and expressed disappointment that the Muslim world has not collectively spoken out against Israel’s actions, particularly during the ongoing Israeli occupation and genocide in Gaza.

He emphasized the importance of supporting Palestinians and condemned the international support, both explicit and implicit, that Israel receives, including from some Muslim countries.

The JI leader praised South Africa for advocating for the rights of the oppressed Palestinians and commended the Houthi movement in Yemen for their support to Hamas against Israeli occupation.

He highlighted a perceived global divide since the October 7 initiative, with conscientious people standing against Israel.

The Gaza Million March marked 100 days of the Israeli genocide campaign in Gaza, calling on the global community to take immediate action against Israel’s ethnic cleansing.

Majlise Wahdatul Muslameen Sindh President Allama Baqar Abbas Zaidi paid tribute to the resistance movement in Gaza, and Younus Sohan Advocate expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people on behalf of religious minorities in Pakistan.

Former Administrator Karachi Faheemuz Zaman stressed the need for collective action against global imperial forces, emphasizing the struggle for real freedom in third-world countries.

Notably, on December 30 last year, South Africa initiated legal action against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing Israel of “genocidal” acts in Gaza.

The ICJ application alleged that Israel violated its obligations under the Genocide Convention and engaged in genocidal acts against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Israel rejected the case with disgust.
