
Karachi hit by heavy rainfall again
Heavy rain has started again in different areas of Karachi this morning, Bol News reported on Sunday.
The Meteorological Department has predicted intermittent rain for the whole day in the city of Karachi and in this regard Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz says that there may be moderate and light rain in some places of the city.
Now rain has started in different areas of Karachi, heavy rain has started in Sarjani Town, North Karachi, Scheme 33, Nagin Chowrangi, North Nazimabad, Gulshan Iqbal and nearby areas.
According to Meteorological analyst Clifton is currently experiencing heavy rain which may continue for more than half an hour, the rate of rainfall is 82 mm per hour, part of the western system is highly active over the city.
On Saturday, the highest rainfall in Karachi was recorded at PAF Shahr e Faisal with 75 mm, Sarjani Town with 63.9 mm and Malir Halt with 64 m, old Airport area with 51 mm of rain, while the lowest rainfall was recorded in Korangi at 23 mm.
However, the water from the stormy rain that occurred in Karachi last night is still there in various places, while the rivers and canals have been flooded after the rain in the city and the discharge of rainwater form the Korangi Coxway continues.
After the rain in Karachi, low-lying areas were flooded, many vehicles were damaged due to water accumulation and traffic jam on Defense Korangi road while electricity was also suspended in many areas of the city.
