PESHAWAR/QUETTA: The newly elected members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and Balochistan Assembly took oath on Wednesday.

KP Speaker Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani administered oath to new MPAs.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Assembly’s session for oath-taking of newly elected MPAs was also held today.

Meanwhile, the candidates for new speaker and deputy speaker will submit their nomination papers with the secretary provincial assembly by five this evening.

The candidates will be able to withdraw their papers till 11 pm tonight.

Election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of KP Assembly will be held tomorrow.

Whereas, the Balochistan Assembly session was chaired by the presiding officer Engineer Zamrud Khan. The new members of the assembly took oath as MPAs of the provincial house.

The 51 members, elected on general seats, who took oath on Wednesday include members of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers who have emerged as the largest parties in the 65-member House.

The assembly includes 11 reserved seats for women and three for minorities while the PPP has 11 seats and PML-N has 10 seats.
