Murree, Pakistan’s leading tourist destination, saw an increase in tourists during the snow season, with officials emphasizing safety precautions. The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) weekend prediction forecasted rain and snowfall in Murree owing to a westerly wave impacting the area.

The weather in Murree, Galyat, and the surrounding areas is anticipated to be cold and partly cloudy, with moderate rain and snowfall. On Saturday, temperatures could plummet to as low as -03 degrees Celsius and as high as 4 degrees Celsius.

In anticipation of anticipated snowfall, the Murree administration has increased monitoring throughout relevant agencies and issued tourist advisories highlighting preventive measures. Snow fans are encouraged to check weather forecasts ahead of time, while tourists are reminded to follow traffic rules to maintain a smooth flow.

Heavy snowfall in famous tourist destinations has detained guests, with Murree receiving more than 10 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. As a result of the traffic congestion on the Murree Expressway, vehicles have struggled to navigate the treacherous roads. Highway authorities and municipal governments are working to clean snow-covered roads and reduce traffic delays.
