E-bikes scheme
The PML-N government has decided to give 19,000 petrol bikes and 1000 e-bikes to students. They won’t charge any extra money if students pay back monthly.
They’re teaming up with Bank of Punjab BOP for this. Monthly payment for petrol bikes is Rs5000 and for e-bikes, it’s Rs10000.
They’re planning to pick students through a lucky draw in May. Bikes will start reaching students in May too.
They have decided to divide the bikes equally between boys and girls in cities. In rural areas, 70% of the bikes will go to boys and 30% to girls.
