The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is set to introduce two new cards to support special individuals: the ‘Himat Card’ and the ‘Nigehban Card’ under the Bait-ul-Mal program.

A meeting was held to discuss this initiative, attended by key officials including Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Senator Pervez Rasheed, Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Sohail Shaukat Butt, Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Sania Ashiq, and relevant secretaries.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister was briefed on the department’s activities and initiatives, with initial approval granted for its digitization.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized the need for accurate data on individuals with disabilities, who will benefit from the ‘Himat Cards’ and ‘Nigehban Cards,’ tailored for those able to work despite disabilities.

Plans for a loan scheme, wheelchair provision, and other essential aids were also discussed, aiming to enhance financial independence and support for special individuals.
