Due to the high temperatures in Karachi, health authorities recommend that residents take protective actions.

Medical professionals warn that rising temperatures may lead to an increased risk of infections. They advise against consuming food and beverages from outside sources, as these may be of poor quality and cause digestive issues.

The public is urged to drink boiled water, avoid unnecessary outings, wear light and loose-fitting clothing, cover their heads outdoors, and stay indoors during peak heat hours.

To prevent dehydration and salt depletion, it is advised to stay out of direct sunlight between 11 am and 3 pm and to hydrate with water and Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS).

Karachi is currently experiencing intense heat and humidity, with temperatures reaching 42 degrees Celsius, feeling like 51 degrees due to changing wind patterns.

The civil hospital reports that eight individuals succumbed to the heat yesterday, and numerous patients affected by the heat were admitted to the emergency room. The deceased patients were found to have suffered from severe dehydration.
