Karachi braces for heavy rain and thunderstorms tonight

The Meteorological Department has forecasted potential thunderstorms and rain with lightning for Karachi, either tonight or by tomorrow evening. Residents should prepare for wet weather conditions over the next 24 hours.

Currently, the city’s weather remains warm and humid. This morning, the minimum temperature was recorded at 30.5 degrees Celsius.

Throughout the day, temperatures could rise, reaching a maximum of 36 to 38 degrees Celsius.

Alongside these high temperatures, humidity levels are expected to stay high at around 75%, making the atmosphere quite sticky and uncomfortable.

Yesterday, some parts of Karachi experienced pleasant weather following rain showers.

This brought temporary relief from the heat and offered a cooler evening for many. However, the return of hot and humid conditions today signals that this respite may be short-lived.
