Rains and gusty winds are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday evening/night and Tuesday.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), interior air conquers over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave is predicted to move upper parts of the country.

Under these circumstances, windstorms/thunderstorms with isolated rains are predicted in Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Waziristan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mansehra, Kohistan, Khyber, Peshawar and Kurram on Monday evening/night.

On Tuesday, windstorms/thunderstorms with insulated rains are expected in Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Tank, Waziristan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mansehra, Kohistan, Khyber, Peshawar, Bajaur and Kurram. Hot and dry weather is likely away in the province.

Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 41-43°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Meanwhile, windstorm/thunderstorm-rains occurred in parts of upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 31 percent.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 22 percent.
