More monsoon rains and gusty winds are forecasted for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of Pakistan on Sunday night, Monday, and Tuesday, with intermittent breaks.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moderate monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal are moving into the upper and eastern regions of Pakistan and are expected to spread to the central and southern areas from July 29.

As a result, more monsoon rains and gusty winds are anticipated in the twin cities, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, upper and central Punjab, and Islamabad from Sunday night through the next two days with occasional breaks. Rain and gusty winds are also expected in southern Punjab, Sindh, and northeastern and southern Balochistan during this period. Heavy rains may occur in Kashmir, northeastern and southern Punjab, Sindh, northeastern Balochistan, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In Islamabad, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 36-38°C on Monday and Tuesday.

In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature is forecasted to be between 34-36°C on Monday and 36-38°C on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, rain, wind, and thundershowers with isolated heavy falls occurred in the twin cities, upper and central Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and northeastern Balochistan over the past 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.

Nokkundi was the hottest place in the country, with a maximum temperature of 48°C. Dalbandin recorded a maximum temperature of 47°C, while Chilas, Panjgur, and Sibbi each recorded 45°C.

In Islamabad, the highest temperature reached 33°C, with evening relative humidity at 96%.

In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was 32°C, with evening relative humidity at 92%.
