PESHAWAR: Most wanted terrorist commander Abdul Rehim is among three terrorists, who were killed during intelligence based operation (IBO) in Hassan Khel area, Peshawar, Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) said on Wednesday.

Four security personnel were also martyred during an exchange of fire with terrorists, it added.

The ISPR said that terrorist commander Abdul Rehim was involved in the martyrdom of Captain Hussain Jahangir and Havaldar Shafique Ullah on May 26, adding that these terrorists had met their end at last.

Whereas the martyrs included 34-year-old police Sub-Inspector Taj Mir Shah, resident of Peshawar, 34-year-old Sub-Inspector Muhammad Akram, resident of Mansehra; 34-year-old soldier Muhammad Idress, resident of Swabi; soldier Badam Gul, resident of Kohat.

The both martyred sub-inspectors belonged to Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The ISPR said the security forces and police launched a joint operation on intelligence report that terrorists were present in the area.

Abdur Rehman was wanted in a number of cases and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has fixed head money of Rs6 million on him.

A big quantity of ammunitions and weapons were also recovered from the slain terrorists’ possession.
