BANNU: An attack on the Marian police station in Bannu was reported on Friday, resulting in the death of a pedestrian.

According to local police, the incident occurred earlier today, injuring the Station House Officer (SHO) and four other officers. The pedestrian tragically lost their life during the attack.

The assailants fled the scene immediately following the attack, and the police have initiated a manhunt to capture those responsible. Authorities are actively investigating the situation, with more details expected as the investigation unfolds.

This attack follows an incident the day before, when a grenade was thrown at the Mach police station in Nasirabad, the district headquarters of Dera Murad Jamali.

Local police reports indicate that the suspects, who were on a motorcycle, hurled a hand grenade onto the police station’s roof before quickly escaping.
