Intermittent monsoon rains with isolated heavy downpours are expected in Lahore and...
The Chief Meteorologist, Sardar Sarfaraz, has predicted light rain and drizzle for Karachi and its surrounding areas until August 11. This forecast is due to monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal, which are expected to impact various parts of the country, particularly in the upper and central regions.
Sardar Sarfaraz mentioned that areas such as Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mithi, Badin, and other districts might experience rain from today through August 11. Additionally, regions like Jacobabad, Sukkur, and Larkana are also expected to receive rainfall. He also noted the possibility of cloud formation near the Kirthar Range, close to Karachi.
Although heavy downpours are not anticipated in Karachi, residents can expect light rain and drizzle in different parts of the city. The Meteorological Department forecasts that the sky in Karachi will remain cloudy over the next 24 hours, contributing to cooler weather conditions.
Residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to flooding or waterlogging. Despite the absence of heavy rainfall, the city’s weather is expected to remain pleasant with occasional light showers.
