More monsoon rains and strong winds are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Sunday night and Monday, with breaks in between.

Heavy rain in some areas could lead to flash floods in local streams and urban flooding in major cities during this time.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are entering the upper parts of Pakistan at low levels and are expected to reach central areas tonight. A westerly weather system is also present in the northern regions.

Due to these conditions, more monsoon rains, heavy in some places, along with gusty winds are expected in several cities, including Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and others on Sunday night and Monday.

These rains might cause flash flooding in streams and rivers in places like Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Gujranwala, and Dera Ghazi Khan. Urban areas, such as Gujranwala, Lahore, and Faisalabad, might experience flooding in low-lying spots. There could also be landslides in hilly areas like Murree and Galliyat, which might disrupt traffic.
