The Punjab government has quickly delivered on its promise to provide bikes to students through the Chief Minister Youth Initiative. Both e-bikes and petrol bikes are now available, with the installment plan for e-bikes set at a low rate to make them affordable.
This initiative is designed to help students save time and money on their daily commutes. For those without parents, the need for parental guarantees has been removed, making it easier for all students to get a bike.
The government will also set up solar-powered charging stations across Punjab, including at colleges and universities, so students can easily charge their e-bikes on campus.
Additionally, the e-bikes will come with insurance, battery warranties, and mandatory safety features like helmets and protection from kite strings.
Overall, this initiative aims to improve student mobility and make their daily lives easier by providing accessible transportation options.
