Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has introduced significant relief measures for female teachers in government schools across the province as schools prepare to reopen after the summer break.

In a recent statement, the minister announced that female teachers would now enjoy two days off per week, and their working hours will be adjusted to better accommodate their needs.

The minister further stated that the duty hours for female teachers have been reduced by 30 minutes.

They will now be allowed to leave at 2:30 PM instead of the previous 3:00 PM. This decision was made to address the challenges faced by female teachers, and a formal notification will be issued soon.

On the other hand, male teachers will continue to have one weekly day off, but they will be required to attend school on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, despite it being a holiday for students.
