RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has said that weakening Pakistan’s forces means weakening Pakistan, adding that it is strongly believed that no negative force will be able to weaken the relationship of trust and love between the nation and Pak forces.

He expressed these views while addressing Azadi Parade ceremony held at Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul to mark the 77th Independence Day on Tuesday night.

Pakistan’s forces have sworn to internal and external consensus of the country, the Army Chief said, adding, “We will not let our sacrifices go in vain at any cost.”

Pakistan Army will continue to play its key role for the integrity of Balochistan, he maintained.

“Alhamdulillah, no difficulty has weakened our resolve and determination. Historically, our national spirit has always been tested,” General Munir observed.

“We as a nation will become new power after every difficulty. Remember, disunity and chaos pave the way for external aggression by opening up the country from inside,” the Army Chief said.

The nation’s unwavering faith in the Pakistan Army is our most valuable asset, he said, adding this strong relationship is our strength in difficult times and is the biggest source of motivation, he said.
