Eid Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him) will be held on September 17 as the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal was not sighted in any part of the country, Chairman Central Ruet-e- Hilal Committee Abdul Khabir Azad announced.

1st of Rabi Al-Awwal will be on September 6 (Friday), he said.

The weather in the country was cloudy and some evidence of the moon was received but not confirmed. The chairman said.

He said, “Our Prophet was born in the month of Rabi Awal. Our Prophet is for everyone and he was sent as Rahmatullah Alamin.”

“This Rabi Al-Awwal is coming as the golden jubilee of the Khatm-e-Nabuwat on September 7, 1974,” he said.
