Isolated rain and gusty winds are expected in the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night and Tuesday. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air is dominating most of the country, with a shallow westerly wave affecting the northern and western regions.
As a result, rain and gusty winds are anticipated in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, and Kurram on Monday night. On Tuesday, while most plain districts will experience dry weather, Chitral, Dir, and Kurram could still see isolated rain and gusty winds.
Peshawar is expected to have maximum temperatures between 34-36°C on Tuesday and 35-37°C on Wednesday. Over the past 24 hours, hot and dry conditions prevailed across most of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with Dera Ismail Khan being the hottest at 38°C and Bannu at 37°C. In Peshawar, the maximum temperature was 35°C, with an evening relative humidity of 47%.
