According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), intermittent rain accompanied by gusty winds is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and certain parts of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday.
Currently, continental air dominates most of the country, while a shallow westerly wave influences the northern and western regions.
Due to these weather conditions, rain with gusty winds is forecasted for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and isolated areas in the Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir on Monday night and Tuesday, with occasional breaks.
The maximum temperature in Islamabad is expected to range between 35-37°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, and similar temperatures are anticipated in Rawalpindi.
Hot and dry weather was prevalent across most parts of the country during the past 24 hours. Dalbandin and Sibbi were the hottest places in Pakistan, each recording a maximum temperature of 42°C, while Bhakkar, Nokkundi, Sukkur, and Khairpur recorded 41°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature reached 36°C, with relative humidity at 57 percent in the evening. In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was 35°C, with evening relative humidity recorded at 46 percent.
