At least four terrorists, including a “high-value target,” were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in Balochistan’s Kech district, as announced by the military’s media wing, ISPR, on Wednesday.
The ISPR statement reported that on the night between November 12 and 13, security forces carried out an IBO in the Balgatar area of Kech District following intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists.
During the operation, an intense exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the deaths of “four terrorists, including the high-value target, Sana alias Baru,” identified as the head recruiter for suicide bombers in Kech district for the so-called Majeed Brigade. He was highly wanted by law enforcement agencies.
Additionally, weapons and ammunition were seized from the terrorists. A sanitisation operation is underway to clear any remaining threats in the area, ISPR noted.
The statement reaffirmed that security forces, alongside the nation, are committed to countering efforts to disrupt the peace, stability, and development of Balochistan.
