On Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that his government’s top priority is to promote foreign investment in Pakistan. He made these remarks during a meeting in Lahore with a delegation of prominent business figures from the United Kingdom, led by Zuber Issa.

He added that the Special Investment Facilitation Council is providing the business and trading community with top facilities through a one-window operation.

PM Shehbaz said: “The country’s economy has been improving in recent days as a result of the government’s efforts, enhancing investors’ confidence.”

He encouraged the delegation to pursue investments in Pakistan. Additionally, both sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation and strengthen business-to-business relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, according to Radio Pakistan.

The delegation commended the government’s economic policies, expressing confidence in the stability and sustainable growth of the national economy.

Last week, the prime minister invited Qatari businessmen to invest in Pakistan’s key sectors during a meeting with delegates from the business association, who showed interest in the country’s economic prospects.

PM Shehbaz met with the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) delegation in Doha, where he presented Pakistan as a prime investment destination, emphasizing numerous opportunities in the country’s energy, infrastructure, and finance sectors.

The Pakistani delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Finance and Revenue Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, and Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar.

Both sides discussed potential collaborations to drive job creation, innovation, and sustainable development in both countries. The Qatari delegates expressed strong interest in the prime minister’s invitation, signaling their intent to expand investments in Pakistan’s energy and infrastructure sectors.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation to strengthen economic stability and growth within the region.
