Karachi recorded 11 new dengue cases in the last 24 hours, citing the Sindh Health Department. The new cases include three from Central district, three from East, one from Korangi, two from South, and one each from Malir and Kemari.
In November 2024 alone, 118 dengue cases have been recorded in Karachi, bringing the total for the year to 1,864.
Meanwhile, Sindh has seen a rise in malaria cases, with over 100,000 cases reported in the second week of October.
Among the most affected areas, Larkana topped the list with 11,588 cases, followed by Khairpur with 10,681, and Qambar with 7,998. Other affected districts include Mirpurkhas (7,230 cases), Dadu (6,045), and Badin (5,948).
In Karachi, 779 malaria cases were reported in the past week, with District West recording 155 cases, East 135, Korangi 82, South 52, and Kemari six, according to NIH sources.
