Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif stated on Wednesday that Pakistan is on the path to prosperity.
Speaking at a workers’ convention in London, the former three-time prime minister said, “The situation is gradually improving.” He recalled his disqualification as prime minister, saying, “I was disqualified for life and removed from the party’s leadership.”
Sharif criticized individuals who he said put the nation at risk for their personal gain. Praising PML-N workers, he said, “The dedication of PML-N workers is admirable. They stand united.”
He added that Pakistan has always progressed under PML-N leadership, recalling his vision of making Pakistan an “Asian Tiger.”
Sharif also expressed disappointment over Pakistan missing out on a G20 opportunity due to recent setbacks.
He acknowledged the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying, “Shehbaz Sharif is making every effort to lead the country toward prosperity.”
