
ICT Police strengthen security for Christian community during Christmas
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has reassured the Christian community of comprehensive security arrangements for their religious events and places of worship during the Christmas season.
SSP Operations, Muhammad Arsalan Shahzeb, held a meeting with a delegation from the Christian community to discuss security measures for the upcoming Christmas celebrations.
The meeting, attended by DSP Security and key members of the Christian community, including Pastor Alliance Initiative Chairman Malik Kamran Naz, Vice Chairman Aneek Parvaiz, General Secretary Yeshua Masih, Shahid Khokhar, Advisory Board Member Bishop Farukh Javed, and Bishop Warem Masih, focused on ensuring safety at churches and other religious gatherings.
SSP Shahzeb emphasized Islamabad Police’s commitment to the security of the Christian community and their religious practices, reassuring that all necessary steps have been taken to provide full protection.
He also stressed that the police are always vigilant and dedicated to safeguarding citizens, irrespective of their faith.
The Christian community expressed their appreciation for the police’s efforts, thanking SSP Shahzeb for his engagement and guarantees of security. The delegation also pledged continued cooperation to ensure law and order throughout the festive season.
