PM Shehbaz praises Naqvi’s role in Champions Trophy preparations
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to discuss the preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy.
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi updated the Prime Minister on the tournament’s progress. PM Shehbaz praised Naqvi’s principled stance, expressing complete confidence in his leadership.
“Your position on the Champions Trophy reflects the sentiments of every Pakistani,” said the Prime Minister. He commended Naqvi for representing Pakistan’s 240 million citizens with dignity on the international stage, emphasizing that “Pakistan’s honor comes first, above all else.”
The PCB Chairman assured the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s readiness to host the prestigious event. “We are fully prepared to organize the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan,” said Naqvi. He also conveyed his commitment to ensuring success for both Pakistan and the game of cricket.
Expressing optimism, Naqvi added, “God willing, we will soon have good news regarding the Champions Trophy.”
The meeting highlighted Pakistan’s determination to host the tournament successfully, showcasing the country’s potential on the global cricketing platform.
