Islamabad police on Wednesday obtained arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and 94 other PTI members in connection with a vandalism case stemming from the recent protests in Islamabad.

The case, registered at Kohsar police station, pertains to riots and disturbances at D-Chowk last week.

The arrest warrants also include notable PTI figures such as Sheikh Waqas Akram, Omar Ayub, Sher Afzal Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Aliya Hamza, Semabia Tahir, Shoaib Shaheen, and Ali Bukhari.

Sources revealed that Islamabad police will form special teams to apprehend the accused and ensure swift enforcement of the law.

Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad placed Imran Khan on a 14-day judicial remand in a separate case registered at New Town police station. Imran Khan, currently held in Adiala Jail, was re-arrested in this case after receiving bail in the Toshakhana case.
