Pakistan’s agricultural exports are experiencing remarkable growth, driven by the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

A significant milestone has been achieved with the export of tractors to East Africa. The first shipment of Pakistani-made tractors has successfully reached Tanzania. This accomplishment was made possible through collaboration with the Kenya-Tanzania-based Masai Trekta Company, aimed at promoting Pakistani agricultural machinery in Tanzania.

This progress highlights Pakistan’s commitment to expanding its global trade partnerships.

Additionally, SIFC’s efforts have contributed to a historic achievement in rice exports, with Pakistan earning $4 billion in revenue. For the upcoming fiscal year, the rice export target has been set at $5 billion.

According to SIFC official Shahjehan Malik, a comprehensive plan will focus on modern seed research and the promotion of standardized agricultural practices. He noted that Pakistan’s high-quality Basmati rice is a key factor in strengthening global trade ties.
