ISLAMABAD: On Friday, Vugar Mustafayev, the Minister of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

The meeting focused on further strengthening and diversifying the relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. Both leaders expressed their mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, energy, investment, and defence, according to a news release from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed satisfaction with the ongoing trajectory of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, highlighting positive developments in key sectors.

Minister Mustafayev, in turn, thanked the Prime Minister for the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation during their visit.

Vugar Mustafayev is in Pakistan to co-chair the 8th Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, scheduled for January 23-24, 2025, in Islamabad.
