Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif introduced a new initiative to provide free 3-marla residential plots to deserving individuals.

This announcement came as she inaugurated the Zahra Homes/Maskan Ravi Scheme in Kala Shah Kaku, part of the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” program. Under this program, families are being offered interest-free loans of up to Rs1.5 million to build their homes.

At the inauguration ceremony on Monday, CM Maryam expressed her satisfaction with the completion of the Zahra Homes project, which has already provided homes to 100 families in just two and a half months. She handed over allotment letters and keys to the families, commending the quality and amenities of the homes.

The CM also revealed plans for a new initiative to provide free 3-marla plots to deserving individuals, expanding access to affordable housing.

During a briefing on the Zahra Homes/Maskan Ravi project, CM Maryam was informed that 100 houses had been completed in Lahore as part of the scheme. Each house covers 400 square feet, featuring two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a courtyard.

The project is designed to be earthquake-proof, energy-efficient, and environmentally sustainable, utilizing the latest EPS Smart Panel Technology.

Each home will be equipped with a 5 kW solar system. Additionally, the community will have access to essential facilities, including an RO plant for clean water, a school, a playground, a mosque, and a dispensary.

The Maskan-e-Ravi Housing Scheme is a collaborative effort between the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and EPS Solutions Pakistan.
