Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s visit to China has yielded impressive results in just six weeks, sparking a rapid influx of foreign investment in Punjab. This also marks the initiation of pioneering mechanization in environmentally friendly agriculture and solid waste management.

During an official ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s office, Maryam Nawaz witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Beijing’s AI Force Tech and Daewoo Pakistan for the installation of advanced AI-based machinery aimed at revolutionizing solid waste management in the province. The agreement was signed by Dr. Han Wei, CEO of AI Force Tech, and Muhammad Khalid of Daewoo Pakistan.

The discussion progressed in a subsequent meeting between Maryam Nawaz and Dr. Han Wei, where the two parties explored possibilities for establishing assembling and manufacturing plants in Punjab for robotic agricultural tools. The plans include utilizing transportation robots and harvesters in the agriculture sector, enhancing productivity while reducing manual labor.

A key development from this collaboration is the plan by AI Force Tech to construct a model farm on a 17-acre plot in Lahore’s suburbs, where electric tractors, harvesters, and other advanced machinery will be employed. The farm will operate with an eco-friendly infrastructure, including solar energy systems in the greenhouse and charging stations for electric vehicles and machinery.

In a statement, Maryam Nawaz highlighted, “The implementation of this technology will significantly enhance the agriculture and waste management systems in Punjab, paving the way for a greener and more efficient future for the province.”

Notably, this initiative is not just limited to Daewoo—Asia Pak is set to be involved in developing a sustainable ecosystem with AI Force Tech, ensuring the growth of robotic farming, seed planting, weather forecasting, and improving soil fertility.

Expressing her ambition for the province, Maryam Nawaz remarked, “Punjab is set to achieve its target of attracting 15 to 16 foreign investments to transform every sector—agriculture, technology, and environmental sustainability.” She also emphasized that the partnership with AI Force Tech aligns closely with Punjab’s vision for a cleaner, greener province.

In addition to agricultural innovations, AI Force Tech will extend its contributions to solid waste management, where AI-based machinery will play a vital role in reducing pollution and improving cleanliness standards. This partnership signifies a major advancement in Punjab’s efforts to combat environmental challenges using cutting-edge technologies.

During the briefing, Dr. Han Wei, CEO of AI Force Tech, acknowledged the significant strides the partnership with Punjab will bring to modernizing waste management and agriculture. He highlighted that the integration of AI solutions will ensure waste is efficiently collected, transported, and disposed of, while creating a cleaner and more sustainable province.

With Asia Pak expanding into agricultural machinery, and Daewoo’s partnership accelerating waste management technologies, the future is set to be one of sustainable growth and innovation for Punjab.
