One-fifth of Americans stand with Palestinians and Hamas; says Naeem ur Rehman
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman claimed on Saturday that 20% of Americans support Hamas and Palestinians.
Sharing his views, Rehman stated, “Doctors have confirmed that Palestinian children were deliberately targeted. Israel suffered a defeat on October 7. It is essential to support Hamas.” He also emphasized, “The Israeli occupation of Palestine is unacceptable.”
Rehman further expressed solidarity with Kashmir, stating, “We have a deep connection with Kashmir, which remains under Indian occupation.”
On Friday, Rehman criticized the government for following the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agenda. While addressing farmers in Lahore, he remarked, “Farmers should be provided with all essential facilities. Wheat and rice are critical to national food security, and farmers should not be mistreated under the IMF’s programme.” He added, “We will continue to fight for farmers’ rights.”
Earlier on Thursday, Rehman condemned the IMF delegation’s meeting with the judiciary, calling it a violation of national sovereignty. He also criticized rising gas and electricity prices and accused the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) of being imposed on Karachi.
Rehman further pointed out the ongoing wheat crisis, highlighting that the official price had yet to be announced.
