Ahsan Iqbal blames PTI for rising terrorism
Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday blamed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the rising wave of terrorism in the country.
Speaking on the issue, he said that even global powers like the United States and Russia cannot completely stop terrorist incidents. He emphasized that Pakistan’s enemies are trying to hinder the development of Balochistan, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and the mineral sector.
Despite these challenges, Iqbal expressed confidence in Pakistan’s security forces, stating that no one can harm the country as long as its brave soldiers are present. He described the recent attack on the Jaffar Express as one of the worst acts of terrorism.
On Saturday, Iqbal also claimed that thousands of people had been brought into Pakistan from other countries, and that terrorism had been successfully eradicated during the previous government’s tenure. He accused the country’s enemies of trying to stall economic growth, particularly in Balochistan.
He further stated that Balochistan is set to receive $5 billion in investment, which will contribute to the province’s economic prosperity.
