Another child ‘kidnapped’ in Karachi
Another case of child abduction has been reported in Karachi, as 11-year-old Muhammad Zain has gone missing from the Gulistan-e-Johar area.
Muhammad Zain was last seen on March 18, and a case has been registered at the Malir Cantt police station. His family believes he has been kidnapped and taken to an unknown location.
This incident adds to the growing number of child abduction cases in Karachi. Earlier in January, two boys, Aliyan and Ali Raza, disappeared from the Garden area. Despite extensive search efforts, they have yet to be found.
Although Karachi police claim to have intensified their search, they have not succeeded in locating the missing boys. As part of the investigation, a police team visited the shrine of Daata Darbar in search of potential leads. Posters with images of the missing children have also been displayed across the city, and authorities have announced a cash reward for any information leading to their recovery.
Ali Raza and Aliyan Muhammad went missing on January 14, prompting DIG South Asad Raza to form a special committee under the supervision of SSP City to investigate. The five-member team, which includes SP Investigation City, is dedicated to locating the missing children. Three suspects have been arrested, but no breakthrough has been made.
