Major oil and gas reserves discovered in Attock

Pakistan’s energy sector got a major boost as OGDCL discovered new oil and gas reserves in Attock, Punjab.

The company started drilling at the Soghri North-1 well on May 21, 2024. Now, the well is producing 14 million cubic feet of gas and 430 barrels of crude oil daily.

Experts believe this discovery will help reduce Pakistan’s energy shortage and support the country’s growing needs.

OGDCL has also confirmed in a letter to the Pakistan Stock Exchange that it owns 100% of this well. This is great news for Pakistan’s energy future!
