Balochistan caretaker minister Jan Achakzai on Monday urged the Afghan authorities to hand over individuals involved in terrorism, highlighting the importance of collaboration in maintaining regional security.

In a press conference in Quetta, expressing frustration, Achakzai noted that instead of cooperation, there have been threats from Afghan authorities.

He issued a stern warning, stating that those who perceive matters indifferently will receive a concise response.

Achakzai provided updates on the influx of returning illegal immigrants, indicating that the number has now reached 100,000. He pointed out a daily influx of 800 to 1000 people from Sindh, highlighting the magnitude of the situation.

Despite the challenges, Achakzai assured that facilities, including warm clothing, are being provided to those returning home. However, he emphasized that no concessions can be made for illegal residents.

Addressing the issue of illegal identity cards, Achakzai reported that the ID cards of illegal individuals from Iran are being blocked. He revealed the staggering figure of two and a half lakh illegal identity cards that have been generated, underscoring the need for stringent measures to control this situation.

Achakzai concluded the conference by mentioning that a comprehensive plan for the Chaman border is ready, and efforts are underway to resolve all associated issues.
