Man arrested for stabbing woman in Karachi

KARACHI: Police have arrested a suspect who allegedly stabbed a woman in Paposh Nagar area of Karachi, Bol News reported.

The incident occurred in Nazimabad where a man stabbed a woman with a knife multiple times after which she fell unconscious.

She was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where she remains under treatment. Police said the woman’s statement will be recorded after she regains consciousness.

Police registered a case and arrested the accused Osama. Police said the matter seems to be a case of a dejected love affair. Police said the woman received knife wounds on different parts of her body.

Earlier his month, a married woman went missing from Gulshan-e-Hadeed area for two days. According to reports, Anum Sohaib went missing after leaving for a job interview.

Her husband lodged a case at the Steel Town police station. He said the family searched for her but failed to locate her after which a case was registered.

He said his wife’s phone number was provided to police officials. He added that her mobile phone was switched off and CCTV cameras were not working due to load shedding when she left the home.

Police officials said that a probe will be conducted on the basis of CDR and digital records. Anum Sohaib went missing for two days while she has a daughter.
