Pakistan Muslim League N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has alleged that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) took the lead in Gilgit Baltistan Elections 2020 through the rigging.

Taking to her Twitter handle, Maryam Nawaz said PTI neither had existence in Gilgit in past nor it has any future in the northern region. PTI took lead in the elections by bullying, threatening and rigging.

She criticized PTI for failing to secure a simple majority in the elections and said that his failure has exposed the mistrust of people in Imran Khan.

She added that despite using force and coercive tactics to change allegiances and then not securing a simple majority is a shameful defeat.

Maryam Nawaz added that failing to secure a majority has revealed the fact the people of Gilgit Baltistan have shown a lack of confidence in the leadership of Imran Khan.

Maryam Nawaz appealed the people of Gilgit Baltistan to stand united against the rigging in GB Elections 2020.

On the other hand, Information Minister Shibli Faraz Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s victory in the Gilgit Baltistan elections is a sign of the people’s trust in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s leadership.

The minister stated that the people of GB have “categorically rejected” the PML-N’s statement and have put a stamp on the ideology of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill said that the people of Gilgit Baltistan have buried the anti-state narrative of Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif, said.

“People have made their trust clear on Prime Minister Imran Khan,” said Shahbaz Gill.
