Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that the establishment does not seem neutral in the vote of confidence against Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

Imran blamed that the members of provincial assembly (MPAs) were being contacted, adding that at least three members of the party had been approached, and they apprised the leadership about it.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of court reporters at his residence Zaman Park in Lahore on Friday.

Imran said that they were preparing for no-confidecne motion and if the court asks them for the vote of confidence in Punjab Assembly, adding that they were fully ready for it.

The former premier observed that the PTI and PML-Q were allies and they had their own different opinions regarding the former army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa.

However, Pervaiz Elahi cannot dictate us and ask us from the withdrawal of our point of view.

The PTI chief maintained that they had no issue with the establishment but they were fighting for justice, vowing that their struggle would continue till getting their aim.

He reiterated that talks could not take place with thieves and corrupt people.

He added that Gen Bajwa had no problem with corruption, that was why the cases of the corrupt people had been ended.

Imran observed that the expiry of Lotos (turncoats) has finished, adding that there is jungle law in the country. He said that the poor need justice not the rich.

Earlier on Thursday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) restrained the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from taking action against chairman PTI Imran Khan.

The hearing of the case against the notice of removal of the former prime minister Imran Khan from the post of the party chairman resumed in the Lahore High Court, the court remarked that the reference of the Speaker was decided or dealt with by the Election Commission.

During the hearing, the lawyer of the ECP read the decision of the Election Commission.

The court directed the federal government and the speaker to make the petitioning members of parliament parties, after which Imran Khan’s lawyer made the federal government and the speaker the petitioning members of parliament parties.

The court issued notices to the federal government, the Election Commission, and the six members of parliament who complained about Imran Khan and sought a written response from all the parties.

Justice Jawad Hasan issued interim decision on Imran Khan’s petition while Imran Khan’s lawyer Barrister Ali Zafar and Azhar Siddique argued.
