LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz appeared on Saturday before the court in the money laundering case.
At the outset of the hearing, the court received the report regarding the arrest of co-accused Salman Shehbaz, son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Judge Ijaz Hassan Awan remarked that conflicting reports have been received about the arrest of the suspect in the case, and added the report maintained that the Model Town address does not exist.
To which the FIA prosecutor explained that was a mistake and the author wanted to say that the suspect was not found at the address and pleaded with the court for submission of a new report in this regard.
The court also noted that the co-accused in the Rs 16 billion money-laundering case has died meanwhile the report claimed that he was interrogated.
The court was also told that Salman Shehbaz’s arrest warrant could not be issued to him and he is not present in Pakistan and is abroad.
