Sindh cuts Eid-ul-Azha holidays, revises notification

Earlier, Sindh government had announced four Eid holidays.

The Sindh government has reduced the Eid-ul-Azha holidays to three days and issued a revised notification confirming that public holidays will now be observed from May 26 to May 28 across the province.

According to the notification, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday have been declared public holidays for Eid-ul-Azha. The announcement applies to all government, semi-government, and municipal institutions in Sindh.

However, employees working in essential services and officials involved in budget preparation will not be included in the holiday schedule. The notification also stated that relevant government departments will observe work from home on Friday, May 29.

Earlier, in a notification issued on May 22, the Sindh government had announced four Eid holidays from May 26 to May 29. Meanwhile, the federal government had already approved a three-day public holiday schedule for Eid-ul-Azha.
