Crying at the time of Rukhsati or Bidaai is normal for the South Asian brides, however, a newlywed bride had lost her life as she cried inconsolably during her ‘bidaai’ in India.

According to the details, the newlywed bride, identified as Gupteswari Sahu aka Rosy, died of a heart attack as she was leaving her parents’ house for good. The heart-wrenching incident took place in the Sonepur district of Odisha.

On Friday, the deceased Sahu got married to Bisikesan of Tetelgaon village in Balangir district.

During the time of her ‘bidaai’, the bride fainted due to uncontrollable crying and collapsed on the group. Her parents and relatives tried to revive her consciousness by massaging her hands and spraying water on her face.

After all the fail attempts, Rosy was instantly taken to the hospital, Dunguripali Community Health Centre (CHC), where doctors declared her dead.
