On Monday, September 19, at 11 a.m., the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth, who died on Thursday ‘peacefully’ in Balmoral, will be held.

The Earl Marshal, Duke of Norfolk, who is in charge of organizing the funeral, has provided information about her final trip from Balmoral to Windsor and the time when members of the public can pay their respects.

The funeral will take place on Monday, September 19, according to confirmation from Buckingham Palace.
Will Queen Elizabeth’s burial be observed with a holiday?
On September 10, the King signed an executive order declaring the day of the late Queen’s funeral to be a bank holiday and ordering all schools to be closed.
During the Accession Council, Lord President of the Council Penny Mordaunt said: “Drafts of two proclamations. One – appointing the day of Her late Majesty’s state funeral as a bank holiday in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
“Two – appointing the day of Her late Majesty’s state funeral as a bank holiday in Scotland.
“And of two orders in council, directing the Lord Chancellor to affix the great seal to the proclamations.”

When does the parade of coffins start?
Six gamekeepers from the Balmoral Estate will carry Queen Elizabeth’s coffin to a waiting hearse at 10 a.m. on Sunday. The hearse will then travel slowly for six hours to Edinburgh, where it will be placed in the throne room of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, which serves as the country’s official royal residence.
Before the second phase of the late Queen’s procession begins at 2.35 pm on Monday, staff there will have the opportunity to pay their respects. The King and Queen Consort will follow the coffin as it travels from Holyroodhouse to St Giles’ Cathedral, where the Crown of Scotland will be placed on it.
The late Queen will lay in state in the Cathedral for 24 hours following the service so that the people of Scotland can pay their respects. Officials announced that full details about the arrangements for the lying in state would be released soon.
How soon will the casket be brought to Buckingham Palace?
The coffin will be transported from St. Giles’ Cathedral to Edinburgh Airport on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The Princess Royal will travel with her late mother on the aeroplane, which will depart for RAF Northolt in London and land there at 6.55 p.m.
The coffin will be driven in a state hearse from Northolt to Buckingham Palace, where it will spend the night in the Bow Room.
Will the Queen Elizabeth lie in state?
