Here are five persons that are predicted to be in the news in 2023, from British Prince Harry to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

– Prince Harry

Just four months after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry is getting ready to publish his much awaited memoir “Spare,” and the British royal family is preparing for more possibly catastrophic disclosures.

The book, which will be available for purchase on January 10th, will provide a “unflinching” depiction of life inside The Firm, according to Harry.

Following their candid Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021, in which they charged senior royals of racism while remaining nameless, the 38-year-old self-exiled royal and his wife Meghan are already polarising characters in Britain.

– Ron DeSantis

Will Ron DeSantis, the well-liked governor of Florida and former student of Donald Trump, turn on his former teacher by opposing him for the Republican presidential nomination?

Trump is already preparing for a possible confrontation with his MAGA (Make America Great Again) follower, whose popularity among Republicans has risen.

In the midterm elections in November, where Trump supporters did poorly, DeSantis easily won reelection. The self-described anti-woke warrior has a moniker created by the real estate mogul: “Ron de Sanctimonious.”

– Kristalina Georgieva

In 2023, the 69-year-old IMF chief will have her hands full trying to prevent a fresh global debt crisis brought on by rising inflation and interest rates.

The Washington-based fund has given over $90 billion in assistance to 16 nations since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February, which increased the price of food and oil globally. Act early, is her advice to nations that may want assistance.

– Bob Iger

The longstanding CEO of Disney has been recalled from retirement to try to use his old magic on the faltering media business, which is spending money like crazy trying to draw streaming subscribers to Disney+.

To get Disney back to its former grandeur during his term from 2005 to 2020, the 71-year-old would have a difficult task.

– Margot Robbie

When the first images of Margot Robbie, an Australian actress, and Ryan Gosling, who played the famed doll combination Barbie and Ken in Greta Gerwig’s movie about the Mattel dolls, were released in June, they nearly caused the internet to crash.

One of the most eagerly anticipated movies of 2023, along with Damien Chazelle’s “Babylon,” is Greta Gerwig’s feminist “Barbie.”

In the latter, Robbie, who starred in “I, Tonya,” plays an anti-Barbie who is crazy and drugged up in a story about the wild behaviour of 1920s Hollywood. (AFP/Web Desk)
