Docuseries alleges palace ‘bullying’ against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would allege palace officials mistreated them in...
It is yet unknown if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will personally accept the Ripple of Hope Award on December 6 in New York.
However, Richard Eden, a royal expert, predicted that if they choose to attend the ceremony, the royal couple would make reference to the controversy over race that led Lady Susan Hussey, Prince William’s godmother, to quit.
Eden stated: “I really do think that Harry and Meghan will be loving the race row at Buckingham Palace because it vindicates their fears and what they’ve said before. It gives them evidence for their complaints.”
Added he, “They are due to get this Human Rights award, and Kerry Kennedy has said it’s because of them standing up to racism and that kind of thing. So we’ll see what they say when they collect the award. I hope they don’t, but they may refer to the events we saw [on Wednesday].”
Kennedy, the organization’s president and the daughter of RFK, praised Meghan last month for her stand against “institutional racism” inside the Royal Family.
She claimed that despite knowing they would be “ostracised,” Meghan and Harry showed guts by speaking up during their early 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey on the matter.
The timing of Meghan and Harry’s Netflix documentary’s trailer release hinted that they have chosen to publicly criticise the royal family.
