Prince Harry may need more security after announcing he killed multiple Taliban militants

In his recently published memoir, “Spare,” Prince Harry brags about murdering Taliban fighters, which has gotten him into problems.
Harry, who spent ten years in the UK military and completed two tours of duty in Afghanistan, has been encouraged by an ex-CIA official to step up his security, suggesting that he may be entitled to additional protection from US authorities.
Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex retired as senior working royals and moved to Montecito, California, security has become a contentious issue.
Bruce Riedel, a counterterrorism officer, recently told The Sun that Harry may legitimately qualify for security protection as a distinguished foreign visitor. Some ambassadors receive extra security. If the British government got involved, it would be beneficial.
“He has taken a risk in his statement about killing 25 Taliban but it is not a big risk. The Taliban do not have an international reach and especially not in the United States.
“In twenty years of war with America they never operated in the US. An angry Afghan American acting on his own might be a threat but most of the Afghan American community is against the Taliban.”
