As his father and brother maintained their composure and continued with public appearances, Prince Harry’s memoir ‘Spare‘ sold a “record” 1.4 million copies in just 24 hours, according to the publisher on Thursday.
The publisher reported that “Spare” broke Penguin Random House’s record for first-day sales by selling 1.4 million English-language copies in the UK, US, and Canada.
The statistics come as the first poll conducted after the publication revealed a continued decline in Harry’s popularity in the UK.
Tuesday saw the release of the attention-grabbing book along with a prominent series of promotional interviews.
According to the publisher on Thursday, Prince Harry’s memoir sold a “record” 1.4 million copies in just 24 hours while his father and sibling kept their calm and continued making public appearances.
By selling 1.4 million English-language copies in the UK, US, and Canada, “Spare” surpassed Penguin Random House’s record for first-day sales, according to the publisher.
The numbers were released as the first poll taken following the publication showed a steady fall in Harry’s support in the UK.
