Salman Saeed discusses how he landed his acting career

Pakistani actor Salman Saeed recently opened up about his entry into the entertainment industry during a podcast appearance. Saeed, known for his roles in popular dramas such as Haqeeqat, Kasak, Amanat, and Ehsaan Faramosh, shared insights into his career journey.

Saeed revealed that his initial break into acting came by chance rather than through a planned effort. He also acknowledged the significant role his elder brother, renowned actor and producer Humayun Saeed, played in shaping his career. Salman Saeed, who has also made a mark in cricket as part of the Pakistan Showbiz team, expressed his gratitude for the support and opportunities provided by his brother.

In the podcast, Salman reflected on his career struggles and the fortuitous moments that led to his success in the industry. His recent portrayal of a negative character in Ehsaan Faramosh received widespread acclaim, further establishing his reputation as a versatile actor.

Talking about getting a chance in the drama serial, Humayun Saeed said, “I was randomly given a chance by a writer, my first project wasn’t offered to me by my brother Humayun Saeed. Had I been given a chance by my brother; I would have been properly launched like other people. I was just casually offered a role by the writer, and I accepted. I was depressed, left my job, and started acting”.

Talking about Humayun Saeed as a producer and critic, he said, “He is never on the sets when we shoot but even he joins the set, I won’t feel any difficulty in acting. He doesn’t give too many tips but he just advises me to stay fit. He is my biggest critic. He often says don’t try to be like me because I have made my name, I can run in the industry the way I am but you should be fit. He sometimes says to me, ‘don’t try to copy my acting’, I think the people who know him very well tell me that I look like him and they say to him that I try to copy him but it’s quite natural for me to look like him because we are brothers”.
